Druid Spells

According to popular legend and folk lore Druids do not use spells. That is false. Even the most powerful Druids in the world use spells. But, legend and folk lore do have some leverage; you want to stray away from spells as much possible. For every spell you use, try to use 2/3 more of ability. Of course, that’s hard when you are just learning, but you should always try anyways. You might be surprised of what you are capable of.

Another thing, try to make your spells your own. The best example I could show you is the ritual for Samhuin. Not really a spell, but everyone changes it for their own. For example, if you came to me and said you didn’t have any idea how to celebrate Samhuin, I would give you the ritual taken from the OBOD website, but you would want to change it for your own. On these three days, I celebrate all ancestral spirits, and honor those who have died to give me power of my words and spiritual freedom. Some people honor old Druid elders who were murdered by the Rouge, some people celebrate the Celts, and some recognize restless spirits stuck on this world in hopes they transcend to the next. You do the same thing for your spells. Find a spell you think is most appropriate, and make it your own. Remember though, if you write the spell in your book of shadows, write it by hand because that makes it twice as powerful.

Spells can also be very simple words. They can be two words to seek out an enemy, find trouble in nature, and also there is a spell to use that hides you within a sacred tree that is simply a few words. The trick is having practice with the spell and believing it will happen. You have to truly believe your spells will work. Even better, imagine it happening. See sparks, lights, anything that will make you truly believe it will work. If you don’t think it will work, it won’t.

You have to be careful though. Some spells are for only those capable of high magick. Never time travel, transport, shape shift, or try to control weather, unless a Druid elder has told you that you are capable of high magick. Be careful though, many are posing Druids. If you are not ready for high magick, and u do one of the spells, your brain could bleed and you could die. It also can be the most painful experience of your life. If you are in that much trouble, for example, a chaos demon after you, contact as many Druids as possible and there will be an elder willing to help.

When you want to perform a spell (or even ritual or meditate), to protect yourself (just in case), create magick circles around you. At least one, but if you are very worried, create seven of them, even though trinity should be enough. But trinity will not protect you against something as powerful as a chaos demon.

Druid spells, though, are the simplest form of magick. Most people will never have to worry about magick spells or the dangers of high magick. Just make sure, when you search for a spell base, it is not from a game, or hurtful magick. As weird as it sounds, Druidism has been a focus for game play. When you research spells for Druidism, you can get a lot of spells that were simply written for a game.
