A FEW FAQ's
Q. Is ORRAR a cult?
A. ORRAR is not a cult of any kind. Our members come from various religious faiths and beliefs and are not required to alter this in any way. Neither do we try to force our members to do things against their will.
Q. Do we have to swear allegiance to anyone?
A. No. The only thing required from members is that they follow our Rules, Guidelines and Regulations, and any executive decisions made by our leaders.
Q. Are members required to pay any money to the organisation?
A. No. Members are only asked to make donations, which can be in the form of books and paper clippings etc. as well as monetary. However, these are purely voluntary and not a necessity. We will never demand any monies from you in any way shape or form.
Q. Does membership cost?
A. Membership to ORRAR is free. We don’t even charge an annual fee like some religious organisations. The only part which may cost is if you decide to buy a printed membership certificate. However, this is purely your choice and not compulsory.
Q. Is membership life-long?
A. Membership to ORRAR is for as long as any individual wishes to be a member. Members can resign and sever all ties with us any time they so desire.
Q. We have heard from some that ORRAR is just a scam. Is this true?
A. No. ORRAR is a worldwide organisation which relies entirely on donations and people buying our promotional items. In fact most of our running costs are supplied by our founder from his own pocket. All donations and monies collected from people who buy our promotional items are completely for the organisation and our aim to help our members. These monies are purely to help with our running costs and ability to aid members and not used for any other purpose. We do not invest the money for use in any other business except ORRAR. We are only here to help our members.
Q. Is ORRAR a religious organisation or a religion?
A. ORRAR is in fact both. We are a religious / occult / historical organisation and a religion. Members though do not have to be members of our religion section unless they so desire. Joining ORRAR means you join the Organisation and not the religion. Our religion is purely up to the individual. If you wish to be part of ORRAR religion then you do not need to be a member.
Q. Who can join ORRAR?
A. Anyone can join ORRAR, whether you are a religious person, someone who is into history the occult or unexplained phenomena. We welcome all people.
Q. Can an Atheist join ORRAR?
A. Yes. As we have mentioned in the previous questions answer, anyone can join ORRAR. We believe that all people should be allowed to put their faith in which ever form they so desire. It is purely the choice of each individual and not for ORRAR to force or recommend any belief to you.
Q. Are men and women viewed equally?
A. Yes, both men and women have equality within the organisation and neither has a superior role. Any positions members take in our organisation are based purely on merit and not gender.
Q. Does ORRAR help members to gain money in any way?
A. ORRAR is not here to aid members or non members to gain monies of any sort. We are here purely to help you study whichever areas you desire and not here to give spells or curses for ill intent or for gaining monies through the information we supply.
Q. Does the organisation listen to what members have to say?
A. Yes. ORRAR will listen to any member’s ideas which they may have. We also pride ourselves on trying to answer every question asked by e-mail or post personally. It may take a while for us to reply but you can be assured that we will get to your question eventually.
Q. Is ORRAR a non profit organisation, charity or business?
A. ORRAR is both non profit and a business. We believe that as a business it gives us a better format with which to aid our members. However, all funds and earnings from promotional items etc. will be entirely for use by the organisation and not given to any shareholders or owners. This in effect makes us both a business and a non profit organisation.
Q. Do we have to join to be a member?
A. Yes. To be part of ORRAR the organisation you have to join. This though is only needed for those wishing to be a member of our organisation. Joining is not necessary to be a member of our religion.
Q. How can we join?
A. You can join by using one of the following methods.
You can use either our on-line membership application form or by asking for a postal form.
Q. Is personal information give out to any other organisations or groups?
A. Information given to us on your application form or in any other way is kept confidential. We do not supply any confidential information to anyone. The only way that this would be achieved is if we were asked to do so by a court of law or the person themselves. Please note though that active members and members who are leaders do have certain information given out for other members and non members to view. This though is only done with their permission.
Q. Why do active members and those wishing to apply for leader positions have to be 18?
A. We have introduced this age limit for legal reasons. These reasons are purely to keep our younger members safe from those who would wish them harm. We also believe that our leaders should be those who have studied their chosen field for many years. We do in some departments allow for Youth Leaders, however their personal information will be kept confidential and all correspondences by others to them will come through our head office.
Q. How can we become a department or country leader? And what are the requirements for holding these positions?
A. All available positions within the organisation will be available via our information website http://www.orrar.net along with the job description. You can also view positions available in our members area.
These positions must be applied for by either post or e-mail along with your CV.
Please note that all jobs within the organisation are voluntary and not paid.
