You And Me
Cold chills run up my spine
The thick smells of blood, sweat, and smoke
Lingers in the air
And the deep sound of your bass pounds in my head
The room seems to clear
As the pounding increases
I can almost taste your fear
Of the day to come
As I approach you hit the last chord
The notes a tantalizing tease
And the smirk on your face
A self-assuring remark
Behind the curtains
No one but you and me
Our passion is blind
And our fire is deadly
Your fierce power intrigues me
And the sickening smell of your sweat covers my body
Not giving a care about the outside world
We stay pressed against one another
As sun pours into the dark club
We let the fire dim
And forget this magical thing
Hoping it wasn’t just a fling
