Faith Makes All Things Possible
By Priestess Martha Jette
Whether you are concerned about - your children, job, marriage or just the course of your life in general, faith in God will make all things possible for you. However, this cannot happen without faith in our wonderful provider of all things. If your faith is weak, the possibilities are limited. The stronger your faith, the greater the possibility of realizing your dreams.
While that may sound simple, achieving a high level of true faith is not easy, especially in a world full of so much evil and negativity. But if you can step outside the daily hustle and bustle for about half an hour each day to pray, meditate on and thank the Lord, you will see dramatic and wonderful changes occur in your life. Our Lord is happy when we are living a full and meaningful life, with all of the fruits that this world has to offer.
As you pray, meditate and thank the Lord each day, your faith will grow stronger. You will also begin to see things and situations manifest in such a positive and at times, even amazing way that you will want to thank Him constantly. Our Lord is full of love and generosity for all of us and there is nothing he would deny us, if we ask. And that, dear friends, is the other key to open the door to a better, more fulfilling life. We must ask. It is not that the Lord doesn't already know what our hearts desire, but consider this: wouldn't you ask a friend, family member or loved one to help you, if you needed it? Our Lord is all those things to us and more, so with faith don't be afraid to ask.
I learned this at a very young age. However, I didn't totally understand this truth, until I was well into my 40's. All I knew as a child was that the Lord loved me, despite the fact that no one else did, because I was an orphan. It was His love that kept me alive, happy and singing Bible songs constantly. Then, at 7 years of age, I began to get depressed. I watched wide-eyed as other children came into the foster home and left soon after, with new parents. I really didn't think I would ever have a mom and dad of my own.
Then one night, I woke up from a deep sleep. At the time, my bedroom was a tiny pantry just off the kitchen. I awoke to the most beautiful music I had ever heard. When I looked up, I saw that something akin to a television set was visible in the upper corner of my little room toward the foot of my bed. A man was singing and I was in awe. The music was so enchanting and continued despite the fact that I sat up, rolled over, pinched myself, etc. After what seemed like 10 minutes, both the image and the music simply faded away.
Just two weeks later, I met my future parents. Of course, as a child, I couldn't figure out the connection between the two events. However, now I know that the Lord had sent a messenger to calm me and give me hope as my parents were indeed, very near. The Lord had heard my desperate prayers and He was just steps away from fulfilling my dream.
If I had only realized that He actually does listen - that with faith, all things are possible. I could have saved myself a ton of heartache and hardship throughout my life. How about you? Is your faith strong? If so, realize now, that the Lord was, is and always will be there to help you, to walk with you and watch over you every day. Without Him, we are nothing. With Him, all things are possible!
