THE PLAN

The Need, The Hope and The Promise

by Robert M. Jankel

This is a new book just released by Mr. Robert M. Jankel.   I am fortunate that the author kindly sent me a free copy of this book to review, for which I would like to thank him.

I chose what the brochure mentions, because after reading it, I thought that it is so well written and thought out that I was unable myself to put this in a form which would show this in the way which it deserves.   Mr. Robert Jankel seems to understand fully the aspects, which give him his influence, which are the lessons of Lao Tzu.   He is also a teacher of art and a writer of poetry and both these can be found inside this book.   I would now like to say please keep up the excellent work and as far as this book goes I fully endorse it and would recommend that everyone whether a member or not should read it.

IT TRULY IS A GREAT BOOK

Writing from the publishers brochure.

The Plan details many strategies on how individuals can make positive changes in their lives and as a result, how the whole world can make similar changes.   The Plan is different from most works because it utilizes prose, poetry, and illustrations to deliver the message.   It is different in that it goes from one subject to another.   Yet, each element is linked to the next.

The Plan describes the incredible dilemma the world is presently in:   how something horrendous can happen at any moment, either through a world conflict, environmental poisoning, population growth or natural disasters.   The book focuses on the pressures that individuals are under today, how we can improve matters if somehow we can join together.

The Plan is about the whole world making positive changes.   The themes are universal and philosophical but at the same time touch on every day life.   Its focus is on how each of us can make a change toward the good.   The Plan offers many strategies.   Central to The Plan are concepts for nondenominational, worldwide prayer, a world government and a universal language.   There are many other ideas on how individuals can grow and how the planet can survive this difficult period.

The Need, part one of three of The Plan, recognizes: “I need to understand that I don’t gain contentment; it’s always there.   It is somewhere inside me waiting, happy and whole.   The problem comes when I lose it by chasing after things – things I see and things I want…”

Part two, The Hope, advocates a new system for worldwide prayer….”I’m on my way to work.   When the clock reads 7 a.m., I begin to pray for myself, friends, family members and then for peace throughout the whole world, for all the people, all living things, and the mother of all of us.   At 7.15 a.m., with a real sense of satisfaction, I end my prayer and take a deep breath and continue to drive on to my job….

What The Plan Entails

Here’s what the plan entails:   the entire world is subdivided into time zones.   Twice daily when the clock strikes 7a.m. and 7p.m. (for two 15 minute intervals) people within that time zone are to focus on themselves and then think, meditate or pray for peace in the world…..

The Promise, part three of The Plan, contains this poem:

“Fly on oh birds – beat your wings

against the sky,

and fly through storms of snow and rain

and cold and pain.

Fly on oh birds,

till you find a certain tree

and there nest awhile

to make new wings.”

Although The Plan addresses the pressures that individuals are under nowadays, it also shows how we can improve matters if we choose to join together.   By combining prose with poetry and illustrations, The Plan presents its content, which flows from one subject to another.
